OL Next lets replatformed programs—legacy code on the JVM—reach data without tying the cutover of logic to the cutover of data. Application settings support a local sandbox, a live host store, or a modern database after migration. Host data is reached over JDBC or through OL CoreIQ APIs for DB2, VSAM, and IMS-DB (see DB2 table REST APIs, VSAM dataset browse, layout, and API, and IMS-DB Universal JDBC).
